Tastes To Remember: A Blogging Event

I have decided to host a blogging event, one that is both relevant and personal to all of us. Think about the foods that remind you of your childhood. Perhaps it is your mother's homemade spaghetti, or your grandmother's freshly baked apple pie. Or maybe it's a sauce or a simple snack you used to have after school. Whatever it is, this event is all about those tastes and smells that immediately bring you back to your childhood. This is an opportunity for all you food bloggers out there to share what recipe is really important to you (that is, if you're willing to give up the recipe!). As for rules, there really are no rules to this event. However, if you are planning on participating, please follow these suggestions:

1) Make a dish, any dish, that is personal and meaningful to you, one that reminds you of your childhood. The deadline for this event is midnight on Friday, May 23rd.

2) Add a link back to this event's URL.

3) I would, of course, also appreciate your placing the event logo in your post.

4) Submit your entry by emailing the following information to sarahbialock@yahoo.com :

-"Tastes To Remember" in the subject line

-Your preferred name

-Your state, country location

-Your food blog name & link to your post

-Name & picture of your entry

You can participate even if you don’t have a blog. Non-bloggers can email the above information (sans blog details) and I’ll include it in the round up.

I’ll be posting a round-up of the entries on Monday, May 26th, 2008 to highlight all of the recipes. Until then, I look forward to finding out what recipes remind you of your childhood!
